Invisalign®Clear Aligners

Want a straighter smile without the appearance of traditional metal braces? Invisalign® offers a discreet, convenient approach to orthodontic treatment that fits into your everyday life.

What Is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® is an orthodontic treatment system that uses a series of custom-made, transparent plastic aligners to gradually reposition your teeth. Each set is designed to apply controlled pressure to specific teeth, helping guide them toward their planned positions over the course of treatment. The system uses proprietary SmartTrack® aligner material, developed to support a comfortable fit & controlled tooth movement.

Invisalign® may be suitable for adults & teens who want to address a range of orthodontic concerns. During your consultation, we will assess your teeth, bite & overall oral health to determine whether clear aligner treatment is the right option for you.

Benefits of Invisalign®

Choosing Invisalign® at our Ronkonkoma dental office offers several advantages for patients seeking a more flexible approach to orthodontic care.

  • Discreet Way to Straighten Your Teeth—the transparent design of Invisalign® aligners makes them difficult to notice during everyday interactions.
  • Removable for Eating & Oral Hygiene—Unlike fixed braces, Invisalign® aligners can be removed when eating, drinking or cleaning your teeth. Enjoy a wide variety of foods without worrying about food becoming trapped around brackets.
  • A Comfortable, Customized Fit—Each aligner is manufactured to fit your teeth as outlined in your treatment plan. The smooth plastic design eliminates metal brackets & wires that can irritate the inside of your cheeks or lips.

  • Convenient Dental Appointments—Invisalign® treatment does not require routine wire tightening or bracket replacement. Your appointments focus on checking tooth movement, evaluating aligner fit & making any necessary adjustments to your plan.

How Invisalign® Treatment Works

Step 1: Your Initial Consultation & Personalized Treatment Plan
Your Invisalign® journey begins with an examination of your teeth, gums & bite. We will discuss your smile goals, review orthodontic concerns & determine whether you are a good fit. From there, we use your digital records to plan the intended sequence of tooth movements needed to improve your alignment.

Step 2: Wearing Your Clear Aligners
When your aligners are ready, we will explain how to insert, remove & care for them properly. You will wear each set according to your prescribed schedule (usually 20–22 hours per day), typically changing to the next set every one to two weeks as directed by your provider.

Remove them for meals, beverages other than water & your regular brushing and flossing routine. Consistent wear is essential, as wearing them for too little time can hinder your progress.

Step 3: Retainers to Maintain Your New Smile
Once your active Invisalign® treatment is complete, maintaining your results becomes the next priority. We will recommend a retainer & explain how often to wear it to help preserve your new alignment. Following your retention instructions is an important part of protecting the time, effort & investment you have made in your smile.
